The “about me” page has always been about my love of photography, going to Purdue to learn more about it, and continuing to learn every time I pick up a camera. To talk about all the great families, athletes, pets and friends I’ve met along the way.
That still is a big part of my life, but how things quickly can change and make you look in the. mirror and make sure that “This is what I want to do…This is where I need to be.”
I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia or CLL late in 2025, and I knew something was a bit off, and it was effecting daily life. Well, I got an answer. Treatment has been a challenge in many personal and professional ways. Changes need to be made, adjustments to how I do things, and asking for help for things I can’t do right now. But those are just obstacles. Something to overcome in time and with some effort. But I know I can do it and willing to take on the challenge. It won’t be easy, and didn’t plan on this journey being anything but hard, demanding, and painful. (Never was much for needles…too many needles!).
Until I’m done with my treatments…I’m still a fighter, and hopefully soon a survivor. Until then, it’s business as usual. To take the best photos possible, and to tell everyone’s story in visually in the best and most thoughtful way possible.
