Since I spend most of my time behind a camera…Disney seems about the only place you’ll find me in front of a camera!

Growing up in Noblesville, I did the usual mix of soccer, basketball, swimming, etc, but ended up enjoying a more non-traditional sport of mountain biking…which eventually led me to The University of South Carolina and to be one of the founding members of the school’s cycling team. Working on the team website, shooting races for the team helped guide me to the start of my photography career.

While in school, I worked for a bike shop as well as a cycling distributor, where I worked on websites and marketing material which helped build my design and photo skills.

After graduation, my first job was studio photographer at FinishLine.com creating the first product photography workflow when they entered into the e-commerce race in 1999. It was exciting to be one of the first people involved in large scale photography for a major retail company! After a few years at FinishLine.com I went back to school up at Purdue in West Lafayette to fine tune my skills in photography. It was perfect timing as they were just opening a brand new photography building and just starting on working with digital imaging and traditional film based photography.

After getting married and finishing up school, I created and ran several photography businesses before finally settling down back in Hamilton County, this time in Westfield. I spent the last 8 years running my photo studio at the Boys & Girls Club in Noblesville before I got lucky that the perfect location opened up that would allow to expand my photography offerings to better serve the central Indiana area.

I’m also lucky that this new location is large enough to allow me to work with other photographers and creatives in the area by creating a Studio Share program. You can learn more about that at StudioShareIndy.com.
